The position at the end of October 2026
The UK parent company, XIXOIO LTD, is preparing an application to Gate 1 of the UK Digital Securities Sandbox, or DSS. We plan to submit it in the fourth quarter of 2026. The concept and supporting materials are prepared and are undergoing a further comprehensive review before submission. The application has not been submitted at this stage; this article does not announce admission or approval.
This update follows the public statement of 29 October. Its purpose is straightforward: to explain what is prepared, where our attention is focused and which steps need to be distinguished. The applicant is XIXOIO LTD. The status of individual Genesis One OS products and modules is considered separately.
The work behind the application
The preparation builds on research and development pursued by XIXOIO since 2017. It also follows a preliminary meeting with representatives of the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority in September 2024. These dates describe the history of the work and communication. They confer neither permission to operate nor any assurance about the application’s outcome.
Our intention is to present a coherent concept for regulated commercial tokenisation. The technology must connect with clear accountability, risk management and verifiable records. The proposal needs to define the intended activity, its participants and the conditions under which it could be tested. A general description of the ecosystem cannot provide that definition on its own.
What we are reviewing before submission
The comprehensive review covers the legal scope of the proposed activities, the responsibilities of individual entities, technical dependencies and control mechanisms. We are giving it additional attention because of the extent of the work already completed and the responsibility associated with future use of the system.
The documentation must accurately reflect the actual state of the solution. For each proposed component, it matters whether it already exists, is being evaluated in a test environment or remains in preparation. It is equally important to define what the proposed DSS testing would cover and which parts would fall outside that scope.
Submission and a decision are separate steps
Submission of the prepared application is intended to follow completion of the review. We plan to submit in the fourth quarter of 2026; it is not a statement that the application has already been received or assessed. Sending an application, receiving an acknowledgement and obtaining a decision are different events, each requiring its own supporting record.
Preliminary discussions, preparation and submission do not constitute admission to the DSS, Gate 1 approval, or support or endorsement by the Bank of England or the FCA. Any participation relates to a specific permitted scope of activities. It does not, by itself, authorise operation of every Genesis One OS module.
The purpose of the next step
We aim to present a clear, substantiated proposal with a specific innovative contribution and a defined approach to meeting the applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The next step therefore depends on the quality of the scope and supporting materials. Dating each status update helps readers distinguish today’s preparation from any later events. The position reported here remains application preparation and a further review before submission.
